The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has confirmed that its gubernatorial candidate in Kwara State, Alhaji Shuaibu Yaman Abdullahi, will be answerable and submissive to former Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
In a series of tweets issued out through its official Twitter handle, the party assured that Yaman will build on the legacies of Saraki.
The tweets also suggested that Yaman Abdullahi will take directives from Saraki on next lines of action to take in building on Bukola Saraki’s legacy.
This may have put to rest concerns that there is rift between the gubernatorial candidate and the former senate president.
There were allegations that Saraki does not want to meet Yaman Abdullahi again eye to eye due to some misunderstanding they had in relation to finance and funding.
The tweets by the PDP have however shown that the two politicians will run a collaborative government if the PDP emerges and that Yaman will remain answerable to Saraki.
According to one of the tweets, “The @OfficialPDPNig administration in Kwara state under the former Senate President, @bukolasaraki, reconstructed and remodeled the Ilorin Airport to International Standard. He also created the cargo terminal. @YamanShuaibu will do more as Governor,” it ended.
The gubernatorial and state assembly election has since been rescheduled to March 18.
