Minister of State for Mines and Steel, Gbemisola Saraki, has reportedly donated a huge sum of N200 million to support the gubernatorial aspiration of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in Kwara State, Yaman Abdullahi ahead of Saturday’s polls.
Yaman is believed to be a longtime associate of Gbemi Saraki who was also alleged to have influenced his choice as gubernatorial candidate of the PDP.
“The minister is actively working for the PDP. She wants Yaman Abdullahi to win at all costs,” our source revealed.
The source disclosed that Gbemi Saraki has just released the sum of N200 million to mobilise votes in support of Yaman.
“PDP agents are now transferring at least N5,000, N10,000 to induce voters ahead of the gubernatorial election from the minister’s donation.
Our findings also revealed that at no point has the minister campaigned for any APC candidate in the state despite her claims of being an APC member, serving an APC government.
Gbemi Saraki has however visited and parleyed with opposition PDP candidates.
She is said to be so keen about defeating AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of the APC to return the Saraki dynasty in the state.
